This Website Supports
the mission of:
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
In 2006, an estimated 85,000 Texans will be diagnosed with cancer and some of those Texans will be residents of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
2005 was the first year for Lakefest. It was a huge success and even won an award for best overall event from the Association of Marina Industries (AMI) based out of Washington, DC. We were able to reach the public and generate an enormous amount of awareness. In 2006 we had even more resources at our hands allowing us to reach a much larger audience. With your help we really can go "Cruisin’ for a Cure."
